Paca 2015 - Bonus Fortitude Unit Examination

The Rodge emailed the Paca packets out last night.  Got me excited!



After some discussion with folks I thought I would go out and make a list of what generated fortitude at Paca (that normally does not).

Here are the Rule additions in play;
The following unit generates two positive Fortitude points:
Giants (any kind)
   Only when standing. A Fallen Giant temporarily generates 0 Fortitude
**every army can take DoW Giants per the special rules

The following units generate one positive Fortitude point:
Army General
Battle Standard Bearer
Any unit containing a Standard
Any core unit containing a champion, but only if that unit does not have access to a Standard
Any Monster that does not have a ward save or regeneration
    (including Monsters being ridden by some prick


Also worth note
The following units generate one negative Fortitude point:
Cannons
Special Characters

The following units generate two negative Fortitude points:
Ironblasters, Skull Cannons, Steam Tanks
Epidimius, Throgg, Tetto’eko, and Morathi


So - lets look at each army and see where it ends up...

**Also, lords only count as bonus fort if not the general (obvious but someone would call me out on it)

Lizards come out as reaping the most benefit followed by WoC and then Tomb Kings.  Excited to see how / if anyone makes changes from this.

Not gonna lie, it doesn't make me sad to see Dwarves / Demons getting no boosts.  Not really a fan of either army.  *BOOSH*

I'm not changing the list I intended to build but my list increases in Fortitude points by 3-4.

It's nice to be excited about Warhammer.

where were these rules 2 years ago when I brought a Carno and EOTG?

Delving further into Lizards, one of my favorite sources of Fortitude take a hit, the MSU skink cohort. I will either need to add a single Krox or up the unit size to 16.

another possibility however are skink skirmishers with a patrol leader. Would have to up the unit size to 13 but they would be highly useful.

Already planning on double Basti, and a couple 13man skirmish units!

Maybe a Carno, if I can get it painted, if not maybe double Slann!
