For those that don't know me, my name is Matt Jayjack, also called The Tallyman by some. You may have seen me helping out at Waaagh Paca, or heard about my awesome ability to lose games on the Point Hammered podcast. I am, at heart, a silly person.
I was born in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho and then managed to travel around quite a bit. My father was in the Air Force, so I wasn't really raised in any one(or three) place! I did manage to spend all of high school in Goldsboro, NC though. After that I went in to the Army(more travel) and worked as a Biomedical Equipment Technician, then much later I went and got an AAS in Mechanical Design Technology, and I currently work in R&D for a conveyor manufacturer here in Neenah, WI. I'm married to the Terrain Wench, and while she doesn't share my love of gaming, she understands it and we're still a pretty nerdy couple.
Enough of that real life nonsense, though. I got my gaming start in...Magic: The Gathering. I reckon we've all been there, in shame. For minis, I diverge just a bit by starting in Battletech, not getting in to WH40K and WHFB until High School, and only really dabbling in D&D. These days I'm into WHFB,
Warmachine/Hordes, Saga, Bolt Action, Flames of War, and a few ancients rulesets. My favorites in WHFB are O&G, mostly the Goblin end of things. Reference the earlier mention of silliness. This also means that the awesome Gorkamorka is one of my all time favorite games.
I have a paint style (read: attention span) that trends towards single models, and I hate painting the same thing over and over. Which means, of course, I rarely finish an army project. I'm trying to fix that, though. I also tend to choose theme over effectiveness. Most of the things I'm likely to post here will be in the vein of monsters, displays, characters, etc.
Outside of gaming, I enjoy building things from wood, casting bullets and shooting them, making arrows and shooting them, and progressive calisthenics.
I love Trolls. Trolls, Trolls, Trolls.
