Rogers' Hobby Desk - Episode 105

Here's a peak at what I've been up to lately, as described in episode 105 of Point Hammered.

Treason of Tzeentch unit filler nearing completion. Shaded and hit with the pearl spray. Just need to add some colored pigments to break up the armor a bit and do a couple details like claws/eyes.

Finished a moondog! Always gotta finish one model ahead of time to make sure the scheme is alright. In this case I'm not sure about the khorne symbols. I thought they'd be metallic stamps initially but they're blending in with the scales a bit too well. Not sure if I'll try something else or try to break them up with colored pigments.

Finished a fiend as well!

Seven of his friends ready for the pearl spray!

All the horror infantry skin done and sprayed. Need to go back for details.

Spell fillers in progress. As mentioned, not sure how the final fire will be done, especially on the big purple turd. I was spending too much time trying to figure it out so I decided to shelve them until the end.

Rest 'o the moondogs. Got the skin washed and will crank these out next.

Lastly, the plague drones all primed up with a beast sneaking in the pic. I had to repair a stalagmite on one of the earlier ones. You can see how I'm really taking the new guys airborn!

Quake City Rumble is closing in. You will only see one more WIP post before the final pics!

Rog - stuff is looking great. Can't wait to hear the stories from QCR and see the final post for all the new models.
I would like to submit a request that the next time you do some of those metals you do a step-by-step guide. I think the metals are one area in which I need the most help in my painting and could really take my models to the next step.

Thanks

I agree with Nicol on this one--I would love a tutorial on metals. I'm absolutely shit at those and yours always look baller as fuck.
