Bull Ogre Maneater #1 Finished

I've finally finished painting the first Bull Ogre Kingdoms Maneater. This guy is intended to serve as the unit champ.

You can see detailed info on the conversion work that I did on him here: Bull Ogre Maneater #1 Conversion blog post.
There was so much detail on this guy! It felt like he took forever to paint.

No doubt the color scheme looks familiar, as it's similar to what I've been doing on my Beastmen.
The rust effect on the metals will be a part of a future tutorial on this blog. It involves consecutive layers of stipling.
This color scheme works really well. The browns are complemented very well by the blues. The same goes for the blacks and grays, as they're a similar tone to the blues. The wood and leather are all done in the same yellow-brown color schemes; in order to 1) keep the color palette limited, & 2) provide a small amount of contrast to the overall scheme.
I feel like I'm getting myself in a bit of a trap lately, by always trying my best to make every model better than the last. It's fun, and it's a challenge; but it just makes everything take so long to finish!
That's it for now. Next I will likely start painting on the musician for the Maneater unit. 1 down, 5 to go!
