Waaaghpaca 2012 - Done and Dusted

Amazing, after a full weekend of gaming and intense partying capped off by my 12 hour drive home to Memphis I'm not suffering the normal hobby burnout that I usually have after an out of town tournament.  If anything I'm even more excited about the hobby than before Waaaaghpaca.  The pageantry of so many beautiful armies in one place was so inspiring that I just can't wait to get back to the painting table.

So how did I do at the tournament?  My goal going in was to finish in the top 3rd and I'm happy report that I landed in 8th place overall according to RHQ.   But even more exciting was the reception that my army received from the other players which yielded a really strong paint score.  I will be posting a full review of the event along with more pix and tutorials over the next few weeks.  In the meantime please enjoy a few pictures of the army taken at Waaaghpaca.  Many thanks go out to Paul of WiscoDice for taking the great pix of my army.

Wow, the army is super impressive, and that's a great display board. Hat off to you sir!

I second that emotion, you must be super happy with them. I just noticed the hammerers banner is a flaming torch, nice touch.
Congrats on 8th place & the fab reception of Clan Blazenbeard!

Thanks for the kind words. Yep, all the standards are torches except the Long Beards which I just haven't gotten around yet to fix.

8th place was really strong soft scores and favorable matchups over the weekend. :)
